Kate Middleton & Prince William Miss Closing Ceremony – Why?

Kate Middleton and Prince William were noticeably absent from last night’s Paralympic Closing Ceremony – so where were they?

Cameras failed to pan over to the royal box as viewers were dying to get a glimpse at Kate’s latest style statement. Prince Harry is back in Afghanistan, so Prince Andrew, who is the patron of the British Paralympic Association, was left to represent the Queen.

Well, it turns out that Kate and Wills are actually in France, enjoying a romantic, quiet break away before they head to Singapore tomorrow on the first stop of their Diamond Jubilee Tour of Asia.

The Duke and Duchess are reportedly staying in a fancy chateau in the South East of France, which belongs to the Queen’s nephew, Viscount Linley.

Tomorrow, they’ll head to Singapore (where Kate will make a speech – eek!), before heading to the Solomon Islands. Let’s hope the Queen recorded last night’s performances for them! RM
