Kate Middleton and Prince William had a bit of a scare earlier this week.
While visiting India’s Kaziranga National Park on Wednesday, the couple reportedly felt tremors from an earthquake that had hit nearby Myanmar.
Richard Palmer – a royal correspondent for the Daily Express – Tweeted: ‘The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their party felt tremors from the Myanmar earthquake in Kaziranga National Park. Everyone is safe.’
A spokeswoman for Kensington Palace later added: As far as I know, tremors were felt across the region and everyone is okay.’
The earthquake was a 6.9 magnitude, but thankfully, there have so far been no reported deaths.
Despite this less-than-pleasant experience, Kate and Wills seemed to have a lot of fun at the National Park.
They were snapped enjoying a number of activities, with Kate, 34, and 33-year-old William even feeding baby elephants, Um, ADORABLE.
They also visited an agricultural village on the edge of the area. They met villagers in the community hall for a discussion about rural life in India, in a place where humans and animals live in close proximity.
They also saw a variety of agricultural crops which provide locals’ livelihoods, in addition to traditional crafts such as weaving.
Kate looked gorgeous in a pink floral midi, which featured intricate black embroidery and a cute tied neckline.
She’d styled her hair into a loose chignon, while she’d kept her footwear simple by opting for a pair of black wedges.
The pair have now moved onto Bhutan, so we’re very excited to see what Kate steps out in next…
