The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are said to be keen to move into the swanky Apartment 1A in time for Prince George’s christening, which is set to take place on October 23 in the Chapel Royal at St James’s Palace.
And according to The Express, it’s only a matter of days before the royal trio will be unpacking their boxes and settling into their new London home after two years of renovation work.
“They can’t wait,” a friend of the couple told the newspaper. “They are so looking forward to getting the place how they want it and being settled.”
The work done on the four-storey property is thought to have cost a whopping £1million, with 31-year-old Kate said to have had a hand in the decor and furnishings – well, she is known for her impeccable taste!
“It’s a big task but Kate is confident in her own taste and style and knows what she wants,” the friend added.
As well as boasting a mighty 20 rooms, Kate, Wills and little Georgie’s new abode also contains a secluded garden and sits next to the apartment that William and brother Harry grew up in.
It’s all go for the new family at the moment – as well as adding another plush pad to their property portfolio in the form of their new summer home on the Queen’s Sandringham estate, the trio are now gearing up for their first foreign holiday to Australia next spring…
Here’s hoping for a smooth move for the royal unit!
