We had NO idea!
It’s safe to say that the public are LOVING the selection of celebrities in this year’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.
We don’t know what it is about these particular people, but the group dynamic is just ah-mazing! They’re all getting on SO well and all genuinely seem like lovely characters.
The group consists of ex pro footballer Wayne Bridge, professional dancer Ola Jordan, stand up comedian Joel Dommett, Olympic gold medallist Sam Queck, actor Larry Lamb, model Lisa Snowden, mathematician Carol Vorderman, Goggleboxer Scarlett Mottaff, actor Adam Thomas, dancer Jordan Banjo and in last night’s episode we saw two NEW camp mates join the gang- Homes Under The Hammer’s Martin Roberts and broadcaster Danny Baker.
It’s quite an eclectic mix and we’re living for each and every one of them and what they bring to the group.
But, we have discovered some things that may surprise you about some of the contestants…
1. Joel Dermott Used To Be In Skins
Yes, Skins. The show we all used to watch and love as angsty teens.
Believe it or not, Joel played the part of DC Sweeney (umm.. we can’t remember that character either) alongside the likes of Jack O’Connell and Luke Pasqualino in the fourth season of the show.
2. Jordan Banjo’s fellow dancer (remember the little guy from Diversity?) is ALL grown up
Dance group Diversity took Britain’s Got Talent by storm a whole SEVEN years ago. How time flies…
One of the highlights of the jaw dropping group was the adorable little Perri Kiely, who melted our hearts while also blowing our minds with his ah-mazing dance moves.
Fast forward a good number of years and teeny tiny Perri looks COMPLETELY different.
He still dons his signature full ‘fro, but now has the body of a man…
3. Lisa Snowdon isn’t actually called Lisa Snowdon
We know people change their names for professional purposes all the time, but this one surprised us.
Lisa’s real name is actually Lisa Snawdon, but she changed her surname to Snowdon when started modelling.
While there’s nothing wrong with Snawdon, we definitely love the ring to Snowdon.
