We all know that summer can bring health risks – and some of us learn it the hard way.
Little Mix’s Jesy Nelson is one these people, having suffered a painful-sounding sunburn while away in Miami. Eek.
The singer – who turns 25 today – had such a bad reaction that her body went into shock and an emergency medic had to administer a jab to counteract the effects of heat stroke.
Jesy tells OK!: ‘I went to Miami and got severely burnt. A doctor had to come out and give me an injection in my bum.’
OUCH. Here at LOOK HQ, we can’t stress enough the importance of sun safety.
If you’re ever jetting abroad to a hot country (or heading outside on a hot day in the UK), please ensure you take plenty of sun cream and wear a hat.

This isn’t actually the first time that Jesy has opened up about health issues.
Last month, she was forced to sit out two dates of LM’s Get Weird tour after hurting herself on stage at Kuala Lumpur’s Live At Life Centre.
She’d suffered a nasty ankle injury, which resulted in her tearing a ligament.
In April, she pulled out of two dates in Belfast due to an undisclosed illness. And not long before that, she was seen crying on stage.
Last November, she stayed at home while her bandmates went on a promo tour of Japan, Tweeting: ‘Hey guys unfortunately I have a bloody horrid ear infection that is not allowing me to fly and see you beautiful Japanese mixers.
‘I am so gutted that I’m not gonna be able to come over and see you guys again. I love you all very much & I can’t wait to see you again soon.’
Let’s hope she stays illness-free from now on!
