Jessie J Quits BBC Show The Voice

Jessie J has just announced that she will be quitting BBC talent show The Voice after two series on the judging panel alongside Will.i.am, Tom Jones and The Script’s Danny O’Donoghue.

Posing the shock announcement on her Twitter page, 25-year-old Jessie explained the reason behind her decision to leave the singing competition – so that she can concentrate on her new album and upcoming tour.

“I’ve absolutely loved my time on The Voice, and I hope everyone saw and knows how passionately I felt about the show,” the Wild singer wrote. “However, I can’t wait to promote my new record around the world and that has to take priority. I shall be keeping a very close eye on series three, showing my support in every way I can, and really hope that in some way that I can be part of the show.”

It’s not clear whether her fellow celebrity judges will be returning for the third series, but the BBC have already let slip it will now begin the search for Jessie’s replacement.

While we’re sad to see Jessie and her statement shaven locks go, we’re pretty excited to see who they might pick – the odds on Cheryl Cole stepping into Jessie’s judging shoes are already sitting at 5/2, according to Paddy Power.

Who would you want to see sat in Jessie’s swivel-chair next year?!
