Congratulations to The Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence, who’s set to get an enormous pay rise for the sequel, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.
The 21-year-old scored a £320,000 pay cheque for the first film, with bonuses on the condition that the movie performed well at the box office. For the second one, she’s set to make £6.4million ($10million)!
Although Jennifer’s already signed for all four films, THR reports that she’s in the final stages of renegotiating her salary to play Katniss Everdeen again, and she’s asking for a seven figure sum.
The Hunger Games took over £432million worldwide, so there’s no doubt she deserves more cash. But what about her costars?
Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson will also get pay rises on their return, but not to the level of Jennifer’s – the studio reportedly just don’t think they’re as important to the franchise! Can we borrow a fiver, Jen? BS
