X Factor 2012 winner James Arthur looks set to stay at number one for Christmas, after going straight in at the top spot on Sunday.
This will shake up the bookies’ predictions for the top spot, as The Justice Collective’s He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother – the star-studded tribute to the victims of the Hillsborough disaster – was favourite to by number one.
The Official Charts Company say that James has sold 3000 more copies than The Justice Collective, signalling that it will be a close race for the top spot!
MD Martin Talbot said: “While James Arthur has an early lead over The Justice Collective after just two days of sales, it is exceptionally tight – especially with Christmas gift purchases likely to impact on both releases as the week progresses. It looks like being an extremely exciting race for this year’s Official Christmas number one.”
Who’s going to be number one? We can’t wait to find out… BS
