Ian McKellen And Taylor Swift Are Squad Goals

This video of Ian McKellen doing a reading of Taylor Swift’s Bad Blood and Mark Ronson’s Uptown Funk, featuring Bruno Mars, will give you life.

It made us smile. And LOL. And fall off the chair laughing too.

Ian McKellen’s dry sense of humour always hits the spot. And there’s just something amazing about watching such a well-spoken gentleman recite these lyrics.

Hearing him hit the ‘hey, hey, hey, oh!’ line is almost too much.

Ian and his X-Men co-star, and off-screen BFF, Patrick Stewart have a friendship that could rival even Taylor Swift’s tight crew of A-list buds. But it looks like they may actually be joining forces, as Patrick tweeted the Blank Space singer directly asking: “May we join the squad, @taylorswift13?”

He also told her: “So @IanMcKellen recited Bad Blood and I did Blank Space on @NPRAskMeAnother.”

The pop starlet took to Twitter to show her appreciation, telling them both: “Thanks for reciting my lyrics, @IanMcKellen and @SirPatStew! You’ve made my day. You two are ULTIMATE Squad Goals…” before sharing a montage of photographs of the pair’s friendship.

We think they’d make a welcome addition to Taylor’s friendship circle, which also includes the likes of Cara Delevinge, Lena Dunham, Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith and Cindy Crawford.

All that’s left is too see if she brings them on stage at one of her shows.

T, if you’re reading this, PLEASE do that…
