Girls could be coming to a cinema near you, according to the TV show’s producer. Eek!
We could be seeing our fave uncomfortably-real foursome following in the footsteps of the Sex And The City ladies and becoming the latest TV show to get the big-screen treatment.
When asked if a Girls film could be in the pipeline, the show’s executive producer Ilene S. Landress replied: ‘Sure, why not?’
‘If Lena and [co-writers] Jenni [Konner] and Judd [Apatow] have something left to say’, she told audiences at a recent talk at LA’s Television Academy.
But if the movie were to be made, it may be missing one of the show’s main characters… ‘I don’t know if I’m going to want to act anymore,’ Lena recently confessed to Glamour.
‘I’m always relieved on the days I don’t have to. I’d rather give parts to other women than be the woman having the parts.’
A Girls movie without lady Lena simply does not make sense to us. Let’s hope once that script comes a-calling she won’t be able to resist…
