The beaming 31-year-old Duchess of Cambridge looked positively glowing as she left the Lindo Wing of the Paddington hospital holding her and Will’s tiny royal bundle just after 7:10pm last night.
Wearing a bespoke baby blue and white polka dot Jenny Packham tea dress (a mega similar frock to the one Princess Diana wore to unveil son Will for the first time!) with her signature nude court shoes teamed with an immaculately bouncy blow-dry, the new mum looked totally gorgeous for her first family photo – pretty impressive for a woman who had just spent 11 hours in labour!
The proud new parents took it in turns to hold their little boy as they spoke to the press. “He’s got a good pair of lungs on him”, Will told reporters. “He’s a big boy, he’s quite heavy. He’s got her looks, thankfully!” the Duke added about his glowing wife. And it looks like the little royal is already ready for the limelight, as he even managed a tiny wave for the cameras! Such a pro!
The first-time father also told waiting crowds he had already done the first nappy change. When asked about the little Prince’s impressive head of hair, he joked: “He’s got way more than me, thank God.”
The Duchess added that it was a “very emotional” and “special” time, saying: “Any parent must know what this feeling feels like.” Kate and Wills then went back inside of St Mary’s to fetch their son’s car seat, before re-emerging to hop into a black Range Rover driven by chief chauffer Wills, with Kate and the little Prince of Cambridge safely tucked up in the back.
The Duke and Duchess reportedly spent their first night with their baby son in their new home at Kensington Palace yesterday, with Wills now on taking up his two weeks’ paternity leave before returning to work in the RAF.
