Finding Dory is all we’re talking about in the LOOK office today. Since news broke last night that Disney and Pixar are working on the sequel to 2003’s Oscar-winning Finding Nemo, we’ve been quoting the film and speaking whale like it’s going out of fashion.
Ellen DeGeneres has confirmed she’s back on board to voice the movie’s star, Dory, and reveals that the script is “fantastic”. Aaaaah, we can’t wait!
Discussing the movie on her chat show yesterday, she said: “I’m excited that it’s finally happening and I’ve read the script – it’s fantastic, it’s hilarious, it’s warm, it’s everything that you want it to be.
“And here’s the good news – they say I’m one of the top five contenders to play the part of Dory!”
Marlin, voiced by Albert Brooks, will also return, although it’s likely that the voice of Nemo will be re-cast to reflect his age.
Writer Andrew Stanton says: “There is no Dory without Ellen. She won the hearts of moviegoers all over the world – not to mention our team here at Pixar. One thing we couldn’t stop thinking about was why she was all alone in the ocean on the day she met Marlin. In Finding Dory, she will be reunited with her loved ones, learning a few things about the meaning of family along the way.”
The movie will be released in November 2015. We’re so excited!
