The Fifty Shades Of Grey movie promises to be one of the biggest (and sexiest) blockbusters of our time, so we’re massively excited to announce that the film’s official US release date has just been confirmed as August 1, 2014. Get it in your diaries, people!
The highly anticipated big-screen adaptation, which will be directed by the award-winning Sam Taylor-Johnson, will be hitting cinemas next summer, producer Dana Brunetti announced yesterday.
It’s expected to be the first in a saucy trilogy of films based on E.L. James’ kinky S&M novel, which charts the BDSM-based relationship between student Anastasia Steele and sexy CEO Christian Grey.
The movie bosses have yet to reveal who will be playing the two leads, but Twilight actor Robert Pattinson is currently the front-runner to take on the role of Mr. Grey, with Gilmore Girls actress Alexis Bledel proving the biggest hit with punters to play Ana, according to online betting site Paddy Power.
