Cheryl Cole is set for a major return to the limelight next year, as she’s awarded a triumphant court victory against X Factor US bosses.
The Girls Aloud star has been awarded £1.4 million in an out of court settlement with the show’s producers Blue Orbit, The Metro reports, giving her a fresh start for 2014.
‘It was never about Simon. It was about the production company and the contract they signed,’ a source told the paper. ‘She and Simon are totally cool and have been for some time. This was the final sticking point and means everything has been resolved. She’s been paid.’
Now, after an eight-month hiatus, Chezza is back in the studio. Recording her fourth album will have coincided with the Fight For This Love star’s recent split with dancer beau, Tre Holloway. Sob!
‘Cheryl’s taken time off this year so she can have a quiet life,’ the source revealed. ‘She spent it with her family in Newcastle and London with her family and dogs. She loves her dogs. When she’s away on tour she’s missed them and wants to spend time with them.’
Planning her return with precision, Cheryl apparently turned down the opportunity to design her own fashion range with a major high-street brand along the way. But will Simon finally convince her to return to the X Factor? The music mogul has made no secret about his hopes to be reunited with the feisty Jordie on ITV, and it’s no surprise.
Whatever happens, 2014 looks set to be Cheryl’s year. Ah!
