Kellie Bright and Natalie Cassidy are expecting in real life, but their characters definitely *aren't*...
We’re feeling a little sorry for EastEnders‘ costume department right now.
Two of the soap’s biggest stars are currently pregnant, meaning they’ve got their work cut out trying to cover up baby bumps. Eep.
Kellie Bright and Natalie Cassidy are both expecting in real life, but their characters Linda Carter and Sonia Fowler definitely aren’t.
And unfortunately for ‘Enders, it seems as though the pair’s blossoming tums are getting harder to hide.
Over the past few days, confused viewers have been taking to Twitter to ask whether they’ve missed a storyline involving Sonia being pregnant.
One wrote: ‘Am I missing something, how is Sonia pregnant in Eastenders??’ while another said: ‘I’m watching Eastenders for the first time in months? Is Sonia pregnant?’
Even those who are aware of Kellie and Natalie’s pregnancies are pretty baffled.
Messages include: ‘#EastEnders really are not trying to hide the fact that Sonia and Linda’s actresses are heavily pregnant ?,’ ‘It’s like they’re not even trying to hide Linda’s bump anymore #EastEnders,’ and: ‘Awful at hiding Linda’s baby bump #EastEnders ??.’
Natalie announced that she was expecting a child with cameraman Marc Humphreys in February, who she got engaged to last October. She’s due this summer.
It’s the second child for the 33-year-old, who has daughter Eliza with ex-fiancé Adam Cottrell.
Meanwhile, 40-year-old Kellie confirmed that she and husband Paul Stocker were having their second child in May. The couple – who married in 2014 – are already parents to four-year-old son Freddy.
Despite their bumps not exactly fitting in with their ‘Enders storylines, we’re loving seeing both actresses looking so gorgeous and glowing.
