Demi Lovato is on fireright now. The 23-year old pop powerhouse and actress has been open about her insecurities and self-esteem in the past – but she’s overcome them and learned to love herself and feel more body confident than ever. She proved how comfortable to she was earlier this month, in a stunning no-makeup shoot for Vanity Fair magazine. And now she’s releasing her new studio album, aptly titled ‘Confident’ [which is amazing FYI].

So here’s some very wise word’s from the singer herself, that every woman should live by…

“Regardless of what society tells you these days… You don’t have to have a thigh gap to be beautiful. It is possible to love your body the way it is.”

“I’m finding beauty from within. It doesn’t matter how thin or how pretty or whatever. If I don’t feel it, I’m not going to see it in myself. So that’s what I’m focusing on now.”

“You don’t have to wait till the beginning of a new year to make resolutions for yourself. It’s all about loving and taking care of the only body you will ever have… Cherish it, love it, embrace it… Because when you do… It begins to show.”

“I’m proud of the skin that I’m in and I’m wanting to share that with the world and showing everyone how you can go from being very insecure with body image issues to feeling so proud of your body that you want to show it to the world,”

“Don’t train to be skinny, train to be a #badass”

“I used to think that confidence came from what other people thought about me, and boys and everything else. But now I realize that confidence comes from what I feel about myself, and reassuring myself that I can do whatever I want and be whoever I want. Just knowing and setting up my future for a great life.”

“Be good to your body, and your body will be good to you.”

“Instead of trying to change our bodies, how about we try to change our culture?”
