Just one week on from debuting his singer-songwriter skills in front of his Chelsea pals (and ex-girlfriend) on the E4 show, talented Andy was headlining his own sold out gig at a prestigious London venue.
‘It’s flattering and an honour to be given the opportunity to play The Borderline,’ he told Look ahead of Saturday’s show. While revealing the awkward moment he had to cut his MIC co-stars from the guest list.
‘A few [of them] wanted to come but I can’t get them in because it’s sold out. I had to do some culling. And my family have never seen me play before.’
And from here, it seems there’s only one musician who Andy is keen to share the stage with.
Revealing his secret celeb crush, and the lady he’d most like to tour with, he told us: ‘I’ve got a bit of a crush on Rita Ora, so that would be quite fun.
‘I’d love to share the stage with her. I saw her live at Wireless and she’s got such a cool presence on stage – she’s very relaxed, she’s not about fireworks and I love that about her.’
‘To be honest, I didn’t really know much about Rita Ora and her style until Wireless, and then I was absolutely blown away by her,’ he confessed.
Adding: ‘[A duet] would be awesome, I don’t know if she’d have me though.’
With Andy heading out on his own five-night UK tour in December, there’s still time for Rita to get involved. Please, please, please.
How much would you love to see Andy on stage with his crush, Rita Ora?
