David Beckham put a whole host of fellow fathers to shame at son Cruz’s annual school sports day, storming the dads’ race to be crowned winner in front of a delighted Victoria and her fabulous fashion friend, Stella McCartney.
Putting on a superb display of sportsmanship, the 38-year-old father-of-four left his components trailing in his wake as he nailed the 100m sprint to bag the prestigious gold medal. Becks, looking every inch the daddy cool in jeans, a navy sweater and backwards red cap (pictured above watching son Brooklyn play football in LA) wore his trophy proudly around his neck for the rest of the day as he carried daughter Harper (who turns two next week!) around to watch the remaining races.
Wife Victoria, however, didn’t have as much look on the sporting front, and was pipped to the post by pal Stella in the mums’ race. At least she would’ve won the trophy for most glamorous mum, though – the pop star-turned-designer looked super stylish in jeans, a black leather jacket and aviator sunglasses as she’s seen in the photos obtained by The Sun cheering on her handsome hubby.
“They were like just any other mum and dad”, one parent told the paper. “But Becks easily won the race. He beat the other dads by miles. He sprinted to the end in no time at all and left the other less fit dads way behind.”
The Beckhams, who are now back in Blighty after relocating home from LA after David’s recent retirement, will be celebrating their 15-year-anniversary this month. Insane!
But you know what they say – the couple who sprints together, stays together… ahem.
