David Beckham reportedly had a heated argument with Formula One mogul Ron Dennis over a set of reserved seats for his family on New Year's Eve...
It’s not often you hear reports of David Beckham getting into fights. But that’s apparently exactly what happened during the Beckhams’ recent family getaway to the Maldives.
Thanks to Instagram, we all got to enjoy the Beckham family’s idyllic holiday snaps, where the fivesome were seen lounging on beaches, jumping off boats and generally having a very luxurious time.
However, it’s being reported that the holiday was tarnished a little after a showdown between David and Formula One mogul Ron Dennis that took place on New Year’s Eve.
Of course, when you’re the Beckhams, you have enough money to reserve front row seats to whatever entertainment your posh hotel is putting on, right?
Well, according to The Sun, Ron and his family had the same idea, and the two men clashed when Ron spilled over into some seats reserved by David and his family on the night.
Both parties were at the One & Only Reethi Rah resort in the Maldives, according to Mail Online, when a female member of the Beckham clan asked Dennis and his entourage of 30 to remove themselves from the seats reserved by her own party.
Dennis reportedly replied by saying: ‘I’ve paid the most money on the island, I deserve to sit here’, prompting Becks himself to stand up and defend his family, confronting Ron face-to-face with the result that ‘voices were raised’.
However, considering Beckham is probably one of the most polite celebrities in all of the land, it’s no surprise to hear the heated tiff didn’t last long, with a friend of Ron’s revealing: ‘It’s fair to say voices were raised but it was all a storm in a teacup.
‘They have known each other for ages and it was all blown over by the next day.’
