David Beckham has been giving One Direction‘s Harry Styles some serious competition in the ‘who’s Nick Grimshaw‘s BFF?’ stakes after the pair bonded over an interview for BBC Radio One’s Breakfast show.
The 38-year-old sporting legend, who has been remeniscing about his saucy days as a teenage footballer, popped by Grimmy’s studio for a man-to-man chat about footie, films and his new Manchester United documentary, Class of ’92.
After admitting he was loving being back in the UK after him, wife Victoria and kids Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper moved back to London last December, Becks clearly felt comfortable enough with his new pal to reveal his slightly more sensitive side.
With chat switching to the silver screen, the former England captain admitted: ‘I’m kind of an emotional wreck with movies.’
‘I can’t get through some movies without shedding a tear, I can’t lie’, Becks continued. ‘I’m the same when I’m watching The Office or watching Friends. I just can’t get through it.’
Bless! But The Office?! We’re not sure what episodes David’s been watching, but he must be a big blubberer to get teary over ol’ Brenty boy.
Man chat over, Grimmy seized the opportunity to sidle up next to his new showbiz buddy for a cheeky snap. With those matching quiffs, hazel eyes and similar smizing technique, these two really are looking like two peas in a pod.
