You Have To Hear David Attenborough Narrating Adele’s Hello

Since Adele dropped her latest single, Hello, the Internet has gone into overdrive about the singer’s first track in three years. Some of the responses have been pretty hilarious (Lionel Ritchie we’re looking at you), but this latest one truly tops them all.

Yep, the one and only Sir David Attenborough has recorded a narration to Adele’s comeback video.

The genius idea was the handiwork of Radio 1, and came about when Attenborough appeared on Greg James’s evening radio show.

“Really? Will Adele be cross with me?” Attenborough first questioned, to which James replies: “I think Adele would probably love this more than anything in the whole world.”

The script they wrote for Attenborough is very similar in style to nature documentaries such as Frozen Planet and Africa he is famous for.

His soothing dulcet tones give a whole new meaning to Adele’s new video. The British broadcaster narrates over the song with hilarious lines such as: “Backing against strong winds and the weight of expectation, she’s convinced that now is the time to strike, she, like all pop stars, needs to hunt to survive.”

Plus, the narration included a hilarious dig at Adele’s much talked about flip phone seen in the video. “But there’s a problem, the signal is poor and she hasn’t upgraded her handset since 1999. Hashtag flip phone,” Attenborough jokes.

And concluding his performance: “The lesser-spotted Adele is about to be everywhere again”. LOLs. He sure knows how to make us giggle.

If we didn’t already have masses of respect for Attenborough, we sure do now.

Adele has yet to respond to the 89 year old’s amusing prank but we reckon, of all the responses to her new tune, this one deserves a comment from the singer.
