The 11-year-old is about to release his debut single, If Every Day Was Christmas. But not without some controversy...
So Cruz Beckham is releasing a single. Well, it was only a matter of time, right?
Earlier this year, the 11-year-old’s talent for music was made clear via a video on Instagram which showed him flexing his (seriously impressive) vocal chords.
And today, the Beckham boy’s first official single, ‘If Every Day Was Christmas’, was premiered on Capital FM this morning, with doting dad David joining Cruz to discuss his brand new venture.
Sounding super exited about his brand new song, Cruz told host Dave Berry: ‘It’s two of my favourite things singing and Christmas.’ Nawww.
Mum Victoria also showed her support by posting an Instagram video featuring a Christmas choir, and writing: ‘Love a choir at Christmas!! x Super proud of @cruzbeckham Thank u @rodneyjerkins X VB #IfEveryDayWasChristmas link to #applemusic in my bio’.
However, not everyone is as excited about Cruz’s new tune, with a segment on Good Morning Britain earlier today prompting some pretty nasty tweets.
‘The Beckhams pimping out their 11yr-old son Cruz into the Christmas single pop market is a new low even by their standards. @GMB’, Piers Morgan slammed.
‘Completely agree with what @piersmorgan had to say regarding Cruz Beckham. #GMB’, tweeted another person.
However, others rushed to Cruz’s defence, with one excited fan tweeting: ‘@CruzBeckham is deffo the next Justin Bieber.’
‘@CruzBeckham absolutely killing it with his Christmas song #toocute’, praised another
Whilst a third wrote: ‘Got to love a bit of @CruzBeckham in the morning! #IfEveryDayWasChristmas #LoveIt.’
