So apparently, the Essex girl is now called 'Courntey'. Errr
It’s safe to say that last night’s episode of TOWIE was pretty dramatic.
It was the series finale, and we saw the cast gather at a pool party to celebrate Dan Edgar’s birthday. There were even two reappearances, from Lauren Pope and Diags’ girlfriend Fran Parman.
But it wasn’t actually the show’s stars who caused the biggest stir over on Twitter. Instead, it was an awkward typo made by producers.
Eagle-eyed fans noticed that when Courtney Green first appeared on screen, a caption labelling her ‘Courntey’ popped up. Eeeep.
Tweets included: ‘My friend is forcing me to watch #TOWIE and they can’t even spell “Courtney” correctly. Facepalm,’ and: ‘Ok did anyone else just notice they misspelt Courtney’s name 🙈 #towie [sic].’
Unfortunately, that wasn’t the only thing viewers were up in arms about.
It was Kate Wright’s final episode – but you wouldn’t have guessed it. She didn’t appear on camera until midway through the show, when she was seen arriving at the pool party.
She was seen having drinks with Gemma Collins and Liam ‘Gatsby’ Blackwell, before clearing the air with ex-boyfriend Dan Edgar.
And that was pretty much it. In fact, it was so short and sweet that viewers later took to Twitter to complain about the lack of a proper send-off.
Messages included: ‘Kate Wright has left #towie and they didn’t even mention it😂😂 #savage #girlbye,’ and: ‘I thought Kate Wright left #TOWIE🤔🤔 [sic].’
Well, we’re really going to miss Kate. And let’s hope they check their captions a bit more carefully next time, eh?!
