Yep. In the most ridiculous news of the day, people are actually trolling Kai and Klay Rooney over their smart outfits...
Like most mums, Coleen Rooney was proud as punch on her children’s first day back at school yesterday.
The 30-year-old’s eldest son Kai, six, returned to to the classroom while Klay, three, headed off to pre-school. And we’ve gotta say, they looked very smart doing so.
Coleen – who also has eight-month-old Kit with husband Wayne – shared an Instagram montage of the pair posing in their uniforms.
She’d captioned the image: ‘Kai & Klay ready for their first day back at school ?❤️?.’
Wayne, 30, had uploaded a similar photo, writing: ‘Proud dad this morning. First day back at school for my boys ??✏️?.’
Kai was sporting a striped blazer, shirt and tie, while his little brother had been dressed in a polo shirt and jumper.
They were both wearing matching caps, shorts, socks and shoes. Ridiculously cute, right?!
Of course, the majority of fans agreed with us.
Comments on Coleen’s post included: ‘Looking proper grown up! Lovely photo xx,’ ‘Lovely boys looking very smart in their uniforms ……x,’ and: ‘Aww how adorable.’
But unfortunately, not everyone had such positive things to say.
One follower asked: ‘Why can’t they go to a normal school. They look so snobbery,’ while over on Twitter, another said: ‘Woah, where do they go to school? 1932? [sic].’
Others compared the uniforms to those from Hogwarts in the Harry Potter films. A little unnecessary, no?
Also, we’re pretty sure it’s entirely down to Coleen and Wayne to choose where their children are educated – not anybody else.
Happily, the couple have since received plenty of support. One fan said: ‘Gorgeous Coleen. Can’t stand nasty comments on Twitter.’
We couldn’t agree more. Hope you have a great year, boys!
