Chrissy Teigen only gave birth a week ago, yet she’s already dealing with questions over her parenting style.
The 30-year-old headed out for dinner with husband John Legend at the weekend, with the couple hitting up trendy eatery The Nice Guy in LA for a well-deserved night out.
But apparently, this wasn’t appopriate for a woman who gave birth a week ago, because the Sports Illustrated model was quickly hit with a barrage of criticism over her decision to leave baby Luna at home for the evening.
‘She’s hitting the streets already???? Damn these so called celebrities want to show off so bad after giving birth. Spend bonding time with your baby and not let the nanny or baby sitter raise them!’ slammed one Instagram user.
‘That spotlight pull be strong. One week. Who wants to leave a one week old baby to go to a bar?’ another wrote.
But new mum Chrissy, as usual, didn’t take it lying down. Sharing a screengrab of the comments on Twitter, Teigen wrote: ‘I went to dinner. People are p*ssed. Good morning!’
This isn’t the only thing she’s been slated for, either – just last week, Chrissy took to Instagram to post her first ever shot of her newborn via a glowing selfie showing herself cuddling her daughter in a seriously sweet mother/daughter snapshot.
But many fellow mums accused the star of using the picture for a bit of shameless self-promotion, which we were actually pretty astounded by.
‘Is this picture about her new baby or her cleavage and getting herself noticed?’ one wrote.
Another noted, ‘A pure, innocent baby girl and a woman obsessed with showing off her ‘assets.’’
We don’t know what it is about Chrissy that seems to make her a magnet for catty remarks on social media, but it really needs to stop.
A woman is allowed to mother her child however she likes, and just because CT happens to look blimmin’ fantastic right now, that does NOT mean that she’s desperate for everyone to oggle her assets rather than marvel at her gorgeous baby girl.
Still, it’s not like Chrissy’s letting any of it get her down.
After all of the weekend’s drama died down and one Twitter fan asked her how Luna was doing, Teigen replied frankly: ‘i dunno i can’t find her.’ LOL.
Love. You just keep doing you, girl.
