We all know Chloe Grace Moretz is one of the coolest ladies in Hollywood.
The 19-year-old is a brilliant actress and has some seriously fierce opinions (that she definitely isn’t afraid to publicise). Oh, and she’s dating Brooklyn Beckham. Casual.
But upsettingly, some people seem to think it’s acceptable to body shame her. *Sigh*.
Chloe took to Twitter yesterday to hit back at the cruel comments, ranting: ‘When will people hiding behind computer screens get tired of calling someone “fat” or “masculine” – does it make you feel good typing your hateful comments ? Does it fulfill you in some dark way? [sic].
‘Sit back before you fire away commenting ignorant things and imagine the real HUMAN BEING you are commenting about.
‘He or she is a PERSON, with feelings and thoughts and a life that you are affecting so negatively. I’ve spent my whole life in front of cameras growing up with miscellaneous people judging and critiquing every little thing about myself.
‘And it’s time we all stop hiding behind keyboards pretending we know even the smallest thing about the people we judge. That’s all – have a nice taco Tuesday guys.’
Um. Firstly, we don’t understand how ANYONE could criticise Chloe’s looks. Secondly, nobody should ever be subjected to online trolling – no matter who they are.
It’s clear that Chloe is sticking up for her fans as well as herself, which we think is great. Although it’s sad that anything ever needed to be said.
Followers were clearly impressed with the teen’s words, with one responding: ‘Wow, thank you for this rant, Chloë. I hope it gives people something to think about. You have a great Tuesday too.’
Another wrote: ‘We are so proud of you, in every point. Period. Trolls & haters don’t deserve you spend a word about them.’
We couldn’t agree more, lady.
