Turns out, the breakdown of Cheryl's marriage to JB Fernandez-Versini took a real toll on the singer's health...
On the day that it’s been announced that Cheryl and her second husband, Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini, are officially divorced, we’re beginning the realise the true impact the relationship had on the singer’s life.
The couple weregranted a decree nisi at the Central Family Court in London this morning, which ended their marriage in 14 seconds. Neither Cheryl nor JB were present.
And now, according to Mail Online, the papers filed at the court show the real effect the marriage had on Cheryl’s health.
…And it’s pretty heartbreaking.
The former Girls Aloud star cited JB’s ‘unreasonable behaviour’ as the grounds for her wanting a divorce, according to the site, the district judge’s certificate handed out after the hearing explained this in a little more detail.
‘The marriage having irretrievably broken down, the facts proved being the respondent’s unreasonable behaviour’, it read.
Another section asks ‘If you consider the respondent’s behaviour has affected your health, state the effect it has had.’
And underneath, the Mail Online reports that Cheryl’s lawyers replied with: ‘It caused stress and weight loss.’
Who could forget when Cheryl turned out for last year’s series of The X Factor looking like she’d lost quite a bit of weight, leading her dedicated Soldiers to express their concern for her health at the time?
Well, it looks like we now know the reason behind the star’s changing shape. And it’s just very, very sad.
Still, on the bright side, Cheryl seems to be moving on from her marriage in the best way, with boyfriend Liam Payne by her side, and by looking healthier and more stunning than ever.
We can’t wait to see what the future holds for these two.
