Cheryl has shared her thoughts on this years The X Factor, and fans will probably find her opinion pretty controversial...
Even though Cheryl isn’t a part of this years X factor, it’s fair to say her opinion still remains one of the most important.
And so, the Geordie Queen has recently shared her thoughts on this years batch of X Factor hopefuls- sharing a pretty surprising favourite!
Although our Chez hasn’t actually been watching the show since she left the panel, her nieces and nephews have been keeping her in the loop of all things X Factor- and they’re backing controversial act Honey G.
Speaking to Hello! magazine, Cheryl shares that although she hasn’t been watching ‘I have heard a lot about Honey G’.
Cheryl then confessed that she is actually hoping Honey G will take this years crown- sharing, ‘My nieces and nephews think she is great and I really hope she wins, just for them’.
Yup- we were not expecting that!
Honey G is probably even more controversial than vintage X Factor acts Jedward and Wagner put together. In fact, Honey G’s triumph over Ryan Laurie this weekend left fans incredibly divided.
Whilst some were very pleased that Honey G had ensured another week in the competition, others were incredibly upset- with some viewers even accusing the show of being a ‘fix’.
And, it would appear that speculation over Honey G has only increased – after the freshly eliminated Ryan had shared his thoughts over the validity of the decision.
Speaking on ITV’s Lorraine, Ryan shared that he felt Honey G was more of a character than an actual person- ‘To be honest, I personally use Keith Lemon as a good example…I think it’s a character she portrays’.
He then added that he didn’t really know Honey G on a personal level despite sharing a house with her, explaining ‘I don’t really see her in the house, she keeps herself to herself’.
