The 33-year-old has hinted that she's making new music - AND is in the process of changing her name from Fernandez-Versini...
Cheryl is making a huge commitment towards her boyfriend Liam Payne – by officially changing her surname.
While the 33-year-old simply goes as Cheryl for work, her personal moniker is still her the same as her ex-husband Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini’s.
According to The Sun, she’s still listed as Cheryl Fernandez-Versini on accounts for her performing arts firm CC Couture Limited and on Girls Aloud tour books.
Despite her and JB announcing their split in January (and officially divorcing last month), records were filed this name as recently as September.
But now it seems as though the Fernandez-Versini is on its way out, with a representative telling MailOnline: ‘It is in the process of being changed.’
While it’s not been confirmed what her name on her passport will now read, our bets are on maiden name Tweedy.
And that’s not the only exciting news that Cheryl teased over the weekend.
The singer – who’s rumoured to be expecting her first child with One Direction’s Liam, 23 – gave fans a big hint that she’s planning a return to music. Ooh.
She hasn’t released an album since 2014’s Only Human, which led a fan to Tweet on Saturday: ‘I’m actually really nervous that we won’t ever get Cheryl music again 😰.’
Cheryl is notoriously quiet on social media, but took the time to respond: ‘Don’t be 😉😚.’
Eee. We’re hoping a Sonny and Cher-style collaboration with Liam is on the cards…
