Cheryl is said to be less keen on the idea...
Cheryl and Liam Payne are getting pretty good at this long-distance thing.
Despite Chezza being ‘pregnant’ with their first child together, Liam is currently working on his debut solo album in LA.
And this isn’t the first time they’ve been separated by the Atlantic. Liam, 23, also spent quite a bit of time recording in America before Christmas.
According to Hollywood Life, Cheryl is okay with the situation.
An insider says: ‘It was difficult, but they decided that Cheryl should stay at home as all that travelling would have been too much with her being pregnant.
‘It is not expected that their baby will be born for a while, so, they are both relaxed about it. They obviously miss one another but Cheryl trusts Liam and knows that it is important for him to complete his new music.
‘Cheryl gave him “a pass” to go solo to Los Angeles. The pair have decided to be very private about having their first child together as they want to keep things as low-key as possible.’
But reports have now emerged that One Direction’s Liam may be keen to make LA his permanent home.
A source tells Now: ‘Liam is really focused on his career and has been putting in a lot of time and effort.
‘He’s told pals that he feels so happy and at home when he’s in LA and sees his future there. It’s where he’d love to relocate as he feels it will be the best thing for his career and his family, and he loves the laid-back LA lifestyle.
‘When Liam’s in LA he gets to focus solely on his music and friends say he feels more relaxed.’
But Cheryl, 33, is said to be less sold on the idea, preferring to be near her mum Joan and the rest of her family in the UK.
The source continues: ‘Cheryl has told Liam she’s reluctant to leave the UK as she wants to be close to her family, particularly her mum Joan.
‘Pals say the couple have been clashing over what to do next. It’s reached a stalemate.’
Hmm. It’s clear that Chiam are really happy together right now, so we’re sure they’ll make the right decision for them both in good time.
