Cheryl Cole is rumoured to be making her big X Factor return later this year, and now it looks like she could be being joined by a very familiar face…
The 30-year-old Geordie beauty, who has been dropping some serious hints about her highly-anticipated return to the ITV judging panel, could be working alongside former X Factor contestant and all-round lovable cheeky chappy Olly Murs – if the show’s bosses get their way.
An insider told The Sun: ‘Simon wants Cheryl back more than anything and his idea is to make her the complete star of the show. She’s very tempted by his offer and looks close to saying yes.’
‘But she is concerned about everyone trying to whip up a bitch fight between her and a new female judge,’ the source continued, before adding: ‘There’s also a feeling Cheryl and Olly would have great chemistry. He really fancies her and she would happily play along because she’s very fond of him.’
Mr Murs, who would be replacing former judge Nicole Scherzinger, has previously spoken about securing a spot on the show’s panel, saying: ‘It would be incredible. I did the show in 2009, so I’ve pretty much done everything, I’ve been a contestant, I’ve been a presenter, I’ve cleaned, I’ve done everything.’
‘I think if I got offered the job to be a judge it’d be amazing’, he added. ‘It’d be an honour for me, it really would. I mean I’d have to wait for Mr Cowell to make that decision.’
If Cheryl does decide to return, and Louis takes his former seat, the line-up could be Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, Cheryl Cole and Olly Murs.
Sounds good to us! But who would you like to see completing the line-up? Let us know below…
