Heartbroken Cheryl Cole has asked her fans to pray for her beloved family dog Kiara who is battling cancer and undergoing radiotherapy.
Using her Instagram account to break the news on Tuesday, she said: “This is my dog Kiera. I have had her since she was 2 months and I was 16. Tomorrow she has radiotherapy and will be in doggy hospital for 2-3 weeks.”
Cheryl, who celebrated her 30th birthday last weekend, was just 16 when the Jack Russell joined the family, which makes her four legged friend 98-years-old in dog years.
Urging her fans, often known as Cheryl’s Soldiers, to think positive thoughts about her pooch she pleaded: “Will u help me send her happy vibes and pray for her with me please? She’s my oldest baby and it’s breaking my heart.”
The Call My Name singer owns four dogs and has claimed her pet Chihuahua Buster is gay and has a thing for other male dogs. She said: “I have two Chihuahuas, Buster and Coco, and I have two Jack Russells. Buster is definitely gay. He loves the other boys.”
And four years ago Cheryl confessed: “I’ve come to the conclusion that I don’t trust anybody in life except my mother and my dogs. ‘I’m scared to let people know how much they mean to me.”
Now boyfriend Tre Holloway is on the scene we’re sure Cheryl’s changed her tune but we can only imagine how worried she is about her childhood pet right now.
We hope Kiara’s operation was a success and we’re sending lots of get well wishes…
