Cheryl Cole could be about to welcome a very glamorous addition to this year’s X Factor panel, with US singer Fergie now the frontrunner to join the 2014 panel. Ooh!
According to The Mirror, the 38-year-old Black Eyed Peas star is in talks with the ITV show’s bosses, who are keen to nab her for the prestigious Saturday night slot.
But she’s got to pass the Cheryl test first after it was revealed that the Geordie beauty would be having the final say – alongside Simon Cowell – about who will be joining her in that X Factor hot seat.
‘It’s not a done deal just yet but things have been positive’, an insider told The Mirror. ‘Both sides are keen to move things forward and people at the show and ITV are excited at the prospect of having Fergie.’
‘She brings a lot to the show and her success globally with The Black Eyed Peas and her solo albums obviously speaks for itself. On top of that, she looks fantastic and fans love the glamour of the live shows.’
Will.i.am’s been totally storming it on The Voice, so we’d be keen to see what his BEP bandmate could bring to the talent show table. And with her and Cheryl sharing close pal Will, we reckon Lady Cole could be right on board with this choice…
