Cheryl Cole has finally confirmed that she will be returning to the X Factor this year to re-join the judging panel for the ITV show’s 11th series.
After months of keeping us guessing, the 30-year-old former Girls Aloud singer announced her news via a cheeky Instagram post of her and Simon Cowell with the excited caption: ‘GUESS WHAT!!.. I’m baaaacccckkkkk!!!! #iMayActuallyRingHisNeck #XFactor2014 #leggooo’.
In the snap, Cheryl is seen with her hands poised round the music mogul’s throat as she pulls a comedic face for the camera.
She later adde: ‘I’m very happy and excited to be returning to the X Factor. I’m inspired and ready to find new talent and potential popstars. It’s going to be a fun series.’ You can say that again!
Mr Cowell himself then took to Twitter to confirm the news we’d all been praying was true ever since the rumours first started circulating. ‘It’s official. Cheryl is back,’ Simon posted. ‘Be careful what you wish for!’
We are TOO excited to see Cheryl back in her rightful place and adding some much-needed sparkle into our Saturday nights.
It’s been a whopping four years since the Geordie beauty has graced that X Factor judging seat, but boy, was it worth the wait…
