Caroline Flack has been announced as the brand new host of the X Factor live shows.
The 33-year-old presenter will be joining ITV’s main man Dermot O’Leary and speaking to the nervy acts before and after they hit the stage as the show’s ‘backstage reporter’.
“Exciting news that as well as #XtraFactor, @carolineflack1 will also present on @TheXFactor live shows, reporting backstage for @radioleary”, Caroline’s agent Alex Mullen posted on Twitter to confirm the news.
The surprise signing will see Caroline getting to grips with her new gig this weekend when live shows begin – but the leggy lady needn’t worry about Saturday night stage fright, as it’s not thought she’ll be doing any actual front-stage hosting alongside Dermy.
“Caroline will be doing links with the contestants before they go on stage and when they come off”, a source told The Sun. “She’s not going to be presenting side-by-side with Dermot a lot as bosses don’t want it falling into the same format as The Voice.”
Answer: Never enough, if you’re Flackers.
