Cara Delevingne has reportedly landed her first major acting role in new Skins-esque Brit movie Kids In Love, directed by her pal Preston Thompson.
The 20-year-old model, who made her (blink-and-you’ll-miss-it) cinematic debut in 2012’s Anna Karenina alongside Keira Knightley, Jude Law and Aaron Taylor-Johnson, is allegedly set to star in the gritty new film drama set in London about a group of hard-partying rich kids living a life of pubs, drugs, and debauchery. Shouldn’t require too much acting on the pow-browed one’s part then?
A friend told Mail Online: “The film is all about rich kids who live a wild lifestyle filled with parties and drugs. So some aspects of the storyline will not be a particularly big stretch for Cara. It will be Cara’s first big screen role, so she’s really excited about it and is eager to make sure that she does a good job. Her name in itself will obviously be a big draw for the film too.”
We can think of one man who will no doubt be snapping up front row seats for the fashion icon’s silver screen release – new showbiz pal Pharrell Williams, who Cara was seen getting cosy with on their latest shoot for British Vogue.
The Blurred Lines hitmaker tweeted: “Thank you
@Caradelevingne, you’re one of the illest models ever and I’m grateful @BritishVogue gave me the opportunity to work with you”, to which Cara replied: “No thank you @Pharrell it was a real pleasure! I had so much fun shooting @BritishVogue with you!!! See you soon x”. Jeez, get a room guys…
Filming for Kids In Love is set to start in September at Ealing Studios, so we’ll be keeping our peepers peeled to see if Cara and her animal onesie make an on-set appearance.
