Cara Delevingne has been playing dress-up yet again for her cover shoot for LOVE Magazine‘s special edition ‘Sweetie Issue’, donning a pair of custom-made Dior Minnie Mouse ears for the publication’s fifth anniversary.
Paying tribute to one of her favourite Disney damsals, the British model teamed her cute mousey headgear with a classic denim shirt and a snarl as she fist-punched the camera to show off her new lion finger tattoo in the image styled by LOVE’s Editor-In-Chief Katie Grand.
“As work began on this issue, that famous Herb Ritts shot of Madonna popped up on my Instagram feed, the one where she’s in bed wearing the Minnie Mouse ears”, said Grand. “There was something about that look – knowing, but genuine, and genuinely sweet – that got me thinking.
I’ve always been a big fan of Minnie’s style and that polka-dot bow. So we set about getting my favourite girls in Minnie Mouse ears that had been enhanced by the likes of Miu Miu and Jake and Dinos Chapman for Louis Vuitton.”
Cara was also joined by flatmate Georgia May Jagger and model/actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley for the Minnie-themed shoot, who also brought it in their designer mouse ears.
We’re loving Cara’s girly ringlets, and even better, the fact that the 20-year-old has done a cover shoot sans slap. “Grrrrr! My new @thelovemagazine cover! Thank you @kegrand @mertalas @macpiggott #nomakeup”, the pow-browed beauty posted on Instagram alongside her polka-dot themed snap.
Wonder if we could work some Minnie-magic at Secret Garden Party this weekend? *Pops a pair of mouse ears in the backpack*. It’s happening.
