Wayne Woodward had a bit of a scare after the Britain’s Got Talent semi-final on Monday night.
Shortly after it was announced that he’d made it through to the final alongside sword swallower Alex Magala, the 20-year-old was rushed to hospital.
In frightening scenes, two ambulances were seen arriving at the ITV studios in in London. But thankfully, Wayne has now reassured fans that he’s doing well.
He’s re-Tweeted a photo of himself giving the thumbs up from his hospital bed, which had been captioned: ‘He gave us a scare! Fear not he is fine!Ready to go smash the final @BGT #HoldTight #thankyou [sic].’
A source told Mirror Online yesterday: ‘Wayne fainted after the show last night and was seen by a medic on site.
‘He was then taken to hospital as a precaution and is now resting at home.’
We really hope Wayne is in good shape by the final – because we’re already incredibly excited to see what he has to offer.
On Monday, the singer performed Frank Sinatra classic That’s Life, impressing just as much as he did with his rendition of The Way You Look Tonight during the audition stages.
What made his initial try-out so powerful was the fact that judge Alesha Dixon had earlier compared his speaking voice to Danny Dyer.
Wayne had replied by joking that Danny sounded like him, before telling the panel: ‘I wanna sing for the rest of my life and I don’t wanna do nothing else.’
It seems fans are more than happy for this to happen. He won the public vote on his semi-final, and is now set to compete against wannabes including magician Richard Jones and choir 100 Voices Of Gospel.
Sending you lots of love, Wayne!
