Traffic Almost *Totally* Ruined Last Night’s Brit Awards

Everyone looked pretty calm and collected on the Brit Awards red carpet, right?

We saw VIPs working the cameras in glamorous gowns and suave suits before the glitzy ceremony at London’s O2 Arena.

Caroline Flack eventually made it to the O2 Arena on time. Phew

But some of our favourite celebrities were hiding the fact that they’d just had a MAJORLY stressful trip to the event.

It wouldn’t be a British bash without a traffic jam or two causing havoc, and that’s exactly what happened to these stars. Eek.

Alan Carr eventually made it in time to present Best Video with Lianne La Havas

A host of guests spent hours in their limos and taxis as they made the seven mile journey from central London to North Greenwich during rush hour.

Alan Carr joked on Twitter: ‘Nothing says #BRITs2016 more than p***ing in a bottle whilst in a traffic jam in the Blackwell tunnel #soneedawee.’ Lolz, let’s hope it didn’t come to that…

Alan Carr handed the gong to One Direction’s Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson

Meanwhile, Piers Morgan wrote: ‘UPDATE: 2hrs 40 mins to travel 7 miles. Now at Blackwall Tunnel, which is gridlocked,’ and Caroline Flack captioned an Instagram snap: ‘Still in traffic #brits.’

Other guests affected included Matt Richardson, Dermot O’Leary, Louis Smith and boyband Lawson.

Louis told fans: ‘Just about made it to the Brits through the traffic,’ while Dermot’s wife Dee Koppang said: ‘Sorry we’re late @brits… Stuck in the worst traffic!!’

Dee Koppang looked *incredible* at the ceremony (when she got there)

Lawson decided to give up on their original mode of transport and hop onto the Tube. Wise move, lads.

They shared a photo of themselves on the train, explaining: ‘London Traffic trying to spoil our night. The tube it is! #BRITs.’

Lawson made their way to North Greenwich on the Tube

At least they all got there in one piece eventually, eh?
