Blake Lively’s 2016 MET Gala dress definitely got our seal of approval.
The 28-year-old turned up to this year’s star-studded New York event in a beautiful strapless blush-coloured Burberry gown boasting red floral appliqué, a thigh high split and a long, flowing train.
Blake added bright red sandals and pink drop earrings, topping off with a bright red lip and a gorgeous updo.
There’s no denying Blake looked beautiful. But considering Anna Wintour set the theme of ‘Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology’, we can’t help but feel like Lively broke the rules a little.
Her floral Burberry was undeniably stunning, but in a sea of shimmering metallic frocks and edgy silver make-up, it looked a little like Blake didn’t get the memo about this year’s futuristic theme.
Still, her fans didn’t seem to care, with the actress’s dress getting rave reviews on Twitter. And most people were too busy discussing her changing figure, anyway…
Yep, last week, US Weekly reported that Blake and Ryan Reynolds were expecting their second child, so all eyes were on Blake’s supposed baby bump at last night’s MET Gala.
It’s too early to tell, but her dress could certainly have been hiding a blossoming bump.
‘They are very excited,’ a source reportedly told E! News. ‘Blake always wanted two or three kids.’
Ryan also told Details magazine recently: ‘We’d love to have a big family. We both come from big families – my parents did four, Blake’s did five. A lot of people say it’s crazy, but we’ll only know when we’re there, you know?’
Naw. We can’t wait for the official announcement…
