Here at LOOK HQ, we’re applauding Binky Felstead for raising awareness of a very important issue.
The Made In Chelsea star has been urging her fans to visit their doctors for smear tests.
Binky, 25, took to Instagram last week to share a video of herself working out, which she captioned: ‘Back with @bethefittest for the first time in a month after my surgery and then getting the all clear.
‘Please listen and get regular smear tests, it could save your life.’
Fans were quick to agree, with comments including: ‘Glad to see you using your profile to raise awareness. Good for you,’ and: ‘Well done @binkyfelstead for raising awareness, it’s something we all get embarrassed about but a necessity to all have done.’
Seeing as early detection and treatment can prevent 75% of cancers from developing, we think it’s great that Binky is getting involved to spread the word.
Cervical screening saves up to 4,500 lives a year but, sadly, many women do not take up the invitation.
So if you’re eligible, you know what to do.
Meanwhile, now that Binky is back to full health, it seems she’s keen to spend plenty of time in the gym.
On Tuesday, she posted a clip of herself doing some hardcore floor exercises, writing: ‘Wowzers today was hard but a goody @bethefittest !!! So happy I’m back in action & going to hit it harder than ever …. Keep ya eyes [open] #health=happiness [sic].’
And she was training again yesterday, telling fans: ‘Core today after 30 mins fast flat run on treadmill. My face is still burning … Got a good sweat on @bethefittest #sweatisfatcrying !!!!’
Judging by how ah-mazing she looked on Monday’s episode of MIC, we’d say her intense regime is doing the trick.
