’90s babies, rejoice!
Two of our favourite retro boybands have announced a comeback. But it’s not quite the revival you might expect. Enter, Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC in film form. We’ve got chills.
Nick Carter, the floppy-haired heart-throb of Backstreet, has been a very busy lad, penning a Zombie flick with his pals AJ McLean and Joey Fatone.
We’ve got all of the imaginings of a Shaun Of The Dead x Everybody (Backstreets Back) music video mash up.
And there’s a twist. It’s set in an apocalyptic Wild West. Bad Boys, anyone?
Safe to say, we cannot wait.
Nick’s also taken to Twitter to try and recruit some other famous faces for the project, including the likes of Sir Paul McCartney (well, he did just work with Kanye West), fellow ’90s throwback Sisqo (no thongs please) and Spice Girls’ legend Mel B.
Bringing it bang up to date, he’s also reached out to One Direction’s Niall Horan.
No one has responded so far, but we’ll keep our ears to the ground.
Perhaps Melanie B is too busy working on her own film mash-up. Wouldn’t you love to see a follow up to that epic Spice World movie? Perhaps with the added ingredient of Girls Aloud.
Nick Carter could totally be Baby Spice’s twin. Dontcha think?
And we’d also love to see some Back To The Future action. Sisqo’s hair would totally work for that sci fi setting.
Niall might prefer to star in his own movie. What could be better than a Gremlins revival?
WE CAN’T THINK OF ANYTHING EITHER.
