It’s official. Ariana Grande has cancelled the remaining dates from her Honeymoon Tour, all in one Twitter swoop.
The Bang Bang singer was set to perform in London, Abu Dhabi and Japan over the next few weeks, but she’s had to let down her fans – although she has left no explanation as to what lies behind the decision.
Taking to Twitter, Ariana announced the news to her 34 million followers.
She said: ‘babies, I’m so sad I won’t be able to make it abroad this December but I can’t wait to see u & reschedule for next year.i love you so much.’
The songstress then followed with another tweet, containing a series of purple heart emojis.
Naturally, the news was met with a mixed reception. And a lot of confusion.
Most of her fans wasted no time in jumping to her support, with one user writing: ‘Spend some time with your family and friends babe, you deserve a break.’
Another also said: ‘@ArianaGrande love you, get all the rest you need babe. You do so much. How will I ever thank you… stay sane and healthy/happy.’
Some were worried about their idol, with one replying to her tweet: ‘omg so many will be dissapointed but I hope Ariana’s okay’.
Another simply demanded: ‘WHY? IS EVERYTHING OK??’
A number of people, understandably, were left very disappointed at the last minute change, with one crying out: ‘Omg I was really looking forword to seeing u in Japan so I’m sooo sad I’ll definitely see u next year!’
There’s still no word as to the reason for the news. Previously, Ariana pulled out of UK dates after learning that her grandfather was ill, so we really hope that both Ariana and her family are okay.
And for any disappointed fans, there’s always the promise of 2016.
