To celebrate her hosting debut of the hit US television show Saturday Night Live, Amy Schumer took to the stage to treat the audience to an eight-minute stand-up set.
Keeping it real, the TV host opened up about her 18-month-old niece and, true to form, the comedian touched on a number of different famous names.
One of those was Bradley Cooper. Within her performance she did an impression of the actor and even cracked a joke about how they were engaged.
Cooper took it well though and has now revealed that he actually texted Schumer his congratulations after the show. How very Hollywood.
Speaking to Access Hollywood he said, “I thought it was gonna be a secret but she just decided to let the cat out of the bag.I texted with her after. I was like, ‘That was hilarious.'”
According to Cooper his part in the monologue was not completely random. “The truth is, she was on a talk show and made up some story how I avoided her on the red carpet, so when I saw her I said “hey man you made up some [expletive] story about me on that talk show,” he said. “And she was like ‘I’m sorry’ so maybe she’s making up for it now.” Well, that explains that. Don’t mess with Amy!
Next up, Amy’s stories lead to a controversial stand against the most famous on-screen family in the United States.
Yes, of course, it’s the Kardashians.
The Trainwreck star criticised Kim Kardashian and her famous sisters for providing unrealistic and poor role models for young girls, hinting at the fact that they’ve all altered their looks so much.
It’s no secret that the youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, 18-year-old Kylie, has recently admitted to having lip fillers off of the back of her own insecurities.
Amy said: ‘We have to be a role model for these little girls. Because who do they have? All they have, literally, is the Kardashians.’
She went on to question: ‘And is that a great message for little girls? A whole family of women who take the faces they were born with as a light suggestion?’
Yikes. We’re not too sure how Kim Kardashian will feel about this public shade throwing.
Amy’s last encounter with the reality star made headlines, as she famously pranked both Kim and Kanye on the red carpet at the TIME 100 Gala.
Speaking of the incident, Amy later revealed that she made the impulse decision after reporters were distracted with the arrival of the power couple
Back to the Saturday Night Live monologue, Amy turned to Kim’s sister Khloe, who was always perceived as the more approachable sister. ‘We used to have Khloe… Khloe was ours, right? Whenever there’s a group of women, you identify with one of them…but then Khloe, she lost half her body weight. She lost a Kendall! We have nothing. I want good role models.’
Naturally, feisty Khloe Kardashian wasn’t going to take this lying down.
After the TV show aired, the blonde bombshell took to Twitter to send a not-so-cryptic message: ‘No need 2 tear down others just 2 make urself feel bigger. It actually makes u quite small. I’m on a healthy journey. I don’t care 4the hate.’
She then followed it up with the uplifing message, ‘Let’s uplift one another!!!’
The star has been very open about her fitness regime, sharing her tips and tricks on her new website as well as posting gym selfies to her Instagram.
There’s no denying the influence of the Kardashian clan.
But do you think they’re bad role models?
