People Are Being *Awful* About Amanda Seyfried’s Engagement Ring

The 30-year-old recently announced her engagement to actor Thomas Sadoski. But for some reason, people think it's okay to mock her understated band...

Getting engaged is supposed to be one of the most exciting times in a girl’s life.

So we were thrilled for Amanda Seyfriend when we heard that her boyfriend Thomas Sadoski had got down on one knee.

The 30-year-old actress was first linked to fellow thespian Thomas, 40, in March, and they certainly look pretty happy together.

A source confirmed the happy news to Us Weekly last month, saying: ‘Tommy and Amanda recently got engaged and shared the happy news with family and close friends.’

Aw. Amanda showed off her new engagement ring on the red carpet last week, as she attended a charity event in LA.

Amanda Seyfried’s engagement ring is understated and gorgeous

Thomas has opted for a thin gold band, with no bling visible across its delicate structure. It’s cute and classic, and Amanda clearly loves it.

But unfortunately, some people felt they had the right to criticise the simplicity of the design. *Sigh*.

One Twitter user wrote: ‘We need to talk about Amanda Seyfried’s engagement ring. WTF is that??’

Um. Firstly, we think the band is beautiful. It’s modest and understated, and totally suits its wearer.

While we love a diamond as much as the next person, they’re not for everyone. And wouldn’t it be boring if we all had the same style?!

Not only that, but the choice of ring is (obviously) entirely up to the newly-engaged couple to work out.

Isn’t it gorge just glistening on the ring finger?!

Luckily for Amanda, plenty of people agree with us.

Positive Tweets include: ‘If she is happy that’s all that matters. It’s not about size of ring,’ and: ‘Lovely.’

We second that one. Huge congratulations, Amanda and Thomas!
