3 ways you are actually holding yourself back (without realising!)

We’re always hearing that we should be focused and positive if we want to reach our goals. But what if negative thoughts do niggle their way into our heads? We are all totally capable of reaching our full potential, but we need to believe in ourselves first in order to get there.

Here are the three things you need to stop thinking now because they are holding you back. Let them persist, and they will get in the way of you and your success.

1. “I’m not good enough”

Low-self esteem is something we all suffer from at times. Our culture values beauty, money, power and youth – so naturally we all feel a struggle to live up to the standards our society sets. Know your worth and if you do doubt yourself from time to time, remember that this is normal. If you feel constantly low, or for very long periods consider seeking medical advice or asking for help.

2. “There’s too much competition”

This is something people say a lot. We know that there are fewer jobs out there nowadays but fearing the competition will only hold you back. Lots of aspiring bloggers say that they worry that the competition is too tough and that there are already too many of them out there already. However, everyone starts somewhere, and if you want to follow your dream you have to go for it.

3. “It’s too difficult”

Thinking that something would take too much time or effort is not a reason to not do it. You don’t want to look back and think you wish you had done something differently. Success takes effort. People who are really successful actually don’t worry about the needed time or effort, they simply want to be better so they focus on that and see the bigger picture.

Now what?
