Feeling confident at work is super important. And feeling confident is often helped by looking your best. Here at List for Life we love writing about the chicest workwear and the best beauty products to help you rock office style, but when it comes to skin problems, sometimes a more serious discussion is needed. You want to look your best. Fast.
Many of us suffer from oily skin. It can leave us feeling self-conscious, especially in an office environment when you don’t have the time or privacy to do constant powder touch-ups. Here are five products that are going to change that and stop your oily skin woes for good.
1. Benefit’s POREfessional Matte Rescue
I went to Benefit’s boat party recently and was lucky enough to stumble upon this product. I’m now totally hooked. The gel texture of Benefit’s POREfessional Matte Rescue is very light and if you apply it under your makeup, it doesn’t feel like a thick extra layer that so many primers can. Instead it glides on. As well as stopping oil in it’s tracks this product it’s also packed with powerful pore-blurring ingredients – it even contains diamond powder don’t you know!
2. Paula’s Choice – Shine Stopper
I’ve only recently been introduced to this brand but I’m already a huge fan. Paula’s Choice is one of those finds that actually does what it says on the tin (excuse the pun). This Shine Stopper literally stops shine in it’s tracks with micro-sponge technology and keeps skin looking subtly matte for up to six hours. There’s no cakey finish that you get with some veil powders, this just sits on top of your makeup keeping everything in place and glisten-free. Because really, who needs a greasy looking forehead or t-zone in that important pitch meeting? You’ve got enough on your plate at work already!
3. Omorovicza’s Copper Peel
You only have to look at the reviews of this on Omorovicza‘s website to see how popular this product is. It banishes oil and balances skin tone to a noticeable level in just a few uses. The pack will also last you for multiple treatments and it’s a whole lot cheaper than a spa facial.
4. Dr Dennis Gross
I was sceptical about trying the Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Peel because it sounded somewhat too good to be true. A home peel that can transform your skin? Hmm see what I mean! But the verdict? It’s ah-mazing. Bye bye oily skin for the office. It’s super speedy to apply (you can do it in bed rather than over the sink) and it will work overnight resulting in smoother, shine-less skin come morning.
5. Embryolisse Hydra Matte
If it’s good enough for Kim Kardashian it’s good enough for us! And Kimmy is a big fan. As is Karlie Kloss who talks highly of the Embryolisse Hydra Matte saying that she loves using it to keep her skin hydrated. It absorbs excess sebum to leave your skin looking matte but also moisturised and it’s idea for an oily T-zone. And you can buy it in Boots – what could be simpler?
