#LiveHire recruitment is the event every apprentice NEEDS to know about

In the age where so many parents are pushing universities on their kids like it’s the only option, we’ve all got to do our part to look out for those who are taking the apprenticeship path. Luckily, MEC and Talent Track have put together the #LiveHire recruitment initiative event for aspiring apprenticeships.

We wrote a wealth of articles a while back during National Apprenticeship Week about how to make your mark in the world as an apprentice. We covered everything from starting an apprenticeship later on in life, the skill gap and the benefits of apprenticeship vs the benefits of university.

On Monday, 18th April at Picturehouse Central, Shaftesbury Avenue, MEC is hosting a recruitment event like no other in association with Advertising Week Europe and sponsor Talent Track. In short, it’s a groundbreaking new initiative to recruit entry-level talent in real time.

The gist of the initiative is to encourage attending apprentices to take part in a series of 15-minute speed interviews with the aim of being one of the nine talents to be picked up by the MEC Evolution Apprentice Programme. Successful candidates will have the position by the end of the day and have an invite to celebratory drinks on May 3rd.You’ve got nothing to lose and everything to gain!

There will also be a day-long programme of speakers featuring lectures and seminars from IPA President, Tom Knox, BBC Radio 6Music’s Lauren Lavern and Virgin Media’ Chief Marketing Officer, Kerris Bright.

If you’re on the fence about attending, here is a quote from Marie Claire Barker, MEC’s Global Chief Talent Officer, who said: “At MEC we want to be nothing less than a game-changer when it comes to talent management and recruitment. We are built around talent, from the way we recruit people, to how we look after their development to help them thrive.” Your future could be at this event, why chance it?
