3 ways to stop getting offended at work

1. Accept that people are the way they are

We all offend people sometimes, so accept that others will annoy YOU too. It’s unlikely that people are actually out to wind you up, so just accept that some people are who they are. We all have good and bad days so give them the benefit of the doubt. Bite your tongue and think that tomorrow they might not get on your nerves so much.

2. If you can’t change it, don’t let it bother you

Letting things irritate you that you can’t do anything about is a waste of your time and energy. Shrug it off. Go out, get a cup of coffee and cool off. Don’t let your emotions get the better of you. There’s no point getting all frustrated about something that you just can’t change.

3. Focus on the positives

Maybe it was for the best that that stupid driver slowed you down this morning. It made you slow down and stop rushing so much. Maybe it was a good thing that your annoying colleague got given the project you wanted – you will have some more free time than them now. Plus, you will be seeing less of them.
