Today is the last day of List for Life’s Mindfulness Month, so we thought we’d look into the little changes you can make that will make you a whole lot happier. There are toxic habits that are destroyers of happiness and bringers of anxiety.
Do you have any of these? They’re ruining your changes at success.
Revisiting the past and thinking about how life used to be easier/better/less stressful is actually a waste of time.
2. Toxic love
Some relationships just can’t be fixed, no matter how badly we want them to work. Sometimes you’re just with the wrong person and you need to get out. It sucks and it’s completely sh*t, but it’s true. And deep down you know it! Read the 5 signs that you should wave bye bye to your relationship for clarity.
3. Trying to fit in
Brene Brown, who you may know from the TED Talk she did, said that: “Fitting in, I’ve discovered during the past decade of research, is assessing situations and groups of people, then twisting yourself into a human pretzel in order to get them to let you hang out with them.” When you think of it like that, it’s pretty ridiculous isn’t it?! Stop trying to get people to like you and just think f*ck it if they don’t. You’re amazing.

4. Being too hard on yourself
Everything you’re worried about is in your mind. Well except tarantulas and rats. And snakes. But we’re talking about the REAL things that worry you. You’re probably not going to lose your job, let’s be honest. And you’re probably not going to embarras yourself if you ask that question in a lecture. Just go for it!
